Meet the Maker: Common Ground Coffee

Meet the Maker | Tea, Coffee & Hot Chocolate

At Gourmet Grocer, we believe great food and drink starts with great people. Behind every loaf, preserve, cheese, bake, bottle and brew on our shelves, there is a maker with a story worth sharing. For our coffee, that story begins close to home with Common Ground Coffee.

Based here in Fermanagh, Common Ground Coffee is a local speciality coffee micro-roastery with a simple but thoughtful approach: good coffee should be full of flavour, carefully made and easy to enjoy. It is coffee created with care, not fuss, and that is exactly why it feels like such a natural fit for Gourmet Grocer & Café.

A Local Roastery with a Love for Proper Coffee

Common Ground Coffee was founded with a passion for bringing high-quality speciality coffee to Fermanagh. In a county known for its food, hospitality and strong sense of community, it feels fitting that one of Northern Ireland’s most exciting coffee stories is being roasted right here.

The roastery focuses on coffee that celebrates flavour, freshness and craft. Each cup is about more than a caffeine fix. It is about the small details that make coffee memorable, from the aroma of freshly ground beans to that first smooth sip in the morning.

For us, choosing Common Ground Coffee was about working with a maker who understands the difference between simply serving coffee and serving coffee well.

Why We Serve Common Ground at Gourmet Café

When we opened Gourmet Café upstairs at Gourmet Grocer, we wanted the coffee to match the same values as the food: quality ingredients, local connections and a genuine sense of care.

Common Ground Coffee brings all of that into the cup.

Whether you are calling in for a quick takeaway coffee, settling down for brunch, or taking a break from the High Street, the coffee we serve is designed to be smooth, satisfying and full of character. It pairs beautifully with our homemade bakes, breakfast dishes, sandwiches, pastries and deli favourites.

It is the kind of coffee that works for everyday moments, but still feels special.

Coffee That Brings People Together

There is something lovely about the name Common Ground. It captures what coffee does best. It gives people a reason to pause, chat, catch up, take five minutes for themselves, or start the day properly.

That idea sits at the heart of Gourmet Grocer too. We are all about bringing people together through food, flavour and local produce. Common Ground Coffee helps us do exactly that, one cup at a time.

From the farmers and producers behind the beans to the hands that roast them, brew them and serve them, every coffee has a journey. By choosing a local roastery, we are proud to support a maker who is helping to grow Fermanagh’s food and drink scene in a fresh and exciting way.
